We will cover action from all cricket playing nations including: Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies, England and New Zealand.

Pakistan and India will be taking on each other in their 1st T20 match for the ICC World T20 2014 being held in Bangladesh. The match is to be played in Mirpur, Dhaka and scheduled to start at 19:00 India time and 18:30 Pakistan Time.

Pakistan had a wonderful outing in their very first warm up match of the tournament against New Zealand and it seems that their young guns are carrying on with their good form. Besides, the comeback maker Kamran Akmal showed his intents clearly that he is not going to spare any bowling attack in the World T20.

He middle the ball sweetly and got 52 from just 45 balls and was still unbeaten before he got retired giving chance to other batsmen to take some match practice. Mohammad Hafeez was also brilliant with the bat playing 55 runs knock from just 39 balls and hitting 5 slaughtering sixes. Sohaib Maqsood finished it with his short little cameo.

The concern will, however, be Sharjeel Khan for Pakistan as he has not been carrying on with good starts and he might get another chance today to show his caliber and class. Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik will also be the key players in the middle. All the Pakistani bowlers bowled brilliantly in the first warm up match except Sohail Tanveer who picked up 1 wicket but was quite expensive. A lot will depend on Mohammad Talha and Umar Gul today as they looked in supreme touch the other day. Besides, Saeed Ajmal and Zulfiqar Babar will also get a game today as well.

South Africa played their first warm up match against a considerably weaker Bangladesh A side. While bowling first, their bowlers responded as expected and had taken 6 wickets of the opponent for just 56 runs and then kept on taking wickets to restrict Bangladesh A to just 116 runs.

Steyn and Tsotsobe picked up a couple of wickets each while all the rest of bowlers got 1 wicket to their credit. But the real concern for South Africa will be their batting as an inexperienced Bangladesh A bowling line up stretched them to 19th over and took 5 wickets in chasing down such a small target. So now they will certainly be tested greatly as they will be up against the most dangerous bowling attack of the tournament today as Pakistan won’t spare them easily.

Amla, de Kock, de Villiers and du Plessis will be the key for them up front and at least two of the top four will have to play big for South Africa today if they have to fancy their chances to win it. Duminy, Behardien and Albie Morkel looked good towards the end of the innings and can play a vital role today. Morkel was the most economic bowler with 1 or 18 in his 4 overs. Besides him it will be Steyn and Tsotsobe in focus today with the ball. The warm up matches of the World T20 are going to end today with India taking on England in their second warm up game at Dhaka. The match will be on its way at 19:30 local time.

The bowlers will also have to come up with their best as they will be up against a batting powerhouse of India. Stuart Broad hasn’t yet bowled since he got injured in the Caribbean and might look to come out into the middle today to get some practice before the actual Super 10 matches. Tim Bresnan looked in good form in West Indies and will be expected to comeback with something substantial today.

India will have to break the shackles and come out of the gloomy situation they are in for quite some time now. Their only win since the start of Asia Cup was against Bangladesh and this is not really up to their reputation at the international level. They lost the first warm up match against Sri Lanka where their openers looked shaky again. Though the comeback players, Raina and Yuvraj, managed 41 and 33 but that was not really enough to take them over the line. There were minor contributions from Kohli, Jadeja, Binny and Ashwin towards the end but they couldn’t either finish the match. So, they will be looking for the finishers as they take on England today. MS Dhoni will also be expected to give himself some practice today as well.

Indian bowlers did a reasonable job in restricting Sri Lanka to 153 the other day. Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 22. A little better effort will be required from Mishra today, however, who picked 1 for 38 in his 4 overs in the first match. Furthermore, Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to provide them with early breakthroughs as well.
